A magnetic, forward-looking African metropolis where ancient conservation landscapes meet Africa's most dynamic technology ecosystem. Host to the United Nations in Africa and proud seat for the historic Fourth International Summit on Responsible use of AI in the Military Domain (REAIM 2027).
The Silicon Savannah: Africa's Premier Tech & AI Frontier
Nairobi stands at the epicenter of technological transformation across the African continent. Revered globally as the Silicon Savannah, the city birthed mobile financial inclusion through M-PESA and now hosts global research laboratories including Microsoft's Africa Development Center, Google's Africa Product Development Center, IBM Research Africa and thriving academic AI laboratories.
Hosting REAIM 2027 in Nairobi symbolizes Kenya's conviction that the governance of military artificial intelligence must actively include the voices, strategic perspectives and capacity-building priorities of the Global South.

The New BICC Construction Masterplan & Circular Elevated Eco-Overpass to Nairobi National Park
The Government of Kenya's landmark BICC Modernization Masterplan—currently under active construction—transforms the historic grounds into Africa's most advanced diplomatic convention hub: a 323,500 m² integrated complex featuring an 11,000-delegate indoor plenary arena, a dedicated Presidential Hall, bilateral suites, and state-of-the-art technological exhibition pavilions.
The crowning centerpiece of the complex is the Circular Elevated Pedestrian Eco-Overpass.
